My name is Avery McMillen and I'm a recent Computer Science and Film grad who is currently spending my time working for the Department of Defense in Germany.

My experience ranges from customer service to independent web development, but my real aspirations are within the field of film production, especially editing. I was fortunate enough in college to have both an internship in video editing as well as creating my own study project of a documentary that I directed, planned, and edited during January 2020, traveling over 7,000 miles with my filming partner.

My skills lie in leadership as well as detail work, having gained experience in Project Management from both Software Engineering (Scrum Master of my team), and creating/directing the Wofford College Film Festival 2020 (which was unfortunately canceled last minute due to the COVID-19 Epidemic.)

I enjoy working with other people, especially like-minded hard workers who enjoy current events and travel, but who especially value the payoff of a job done right.
I've made a documentary series titled "Cultures & Conventions" and two short films: "(Blank) Can Help" and "Boldly Going", both of which can be viewed on YouTube or my website.
I have loved my career at Wofford, between everything I've learned and the jobs and Internships I've worked at, I can't wait to enter the professional field. I've noticed my aptitudes especially in Project Management and leading other people, as well as communicating directly between clients and customers, as well as other workers and superiors.
I look forward to where my career will take me, I'm interested in a wide variety of subjects and have a constant willingness and hope to learn and grow.
